Steve Travis Biog Booklet

Steve Travis is recognised as being one of England's top country solo artists. His relaxed style has always found a home with traditional country music fans as well as gaining appreciation of other audiences.
Steve has become a firm favourite at many major country music clubs and festivals throughout the UK and abroad. His popularity has gained a succession of music and radio awards with appearances alongside many major acts such as: Billy Jo Spears, Raymond Froggatt, Mary Duff and Dr Hook to name a few.

Steve's choice of songs cover a wide range of styles, traditional and modern country songs, ballads, swing, and rock 'n' roll. Also songs that have stayed the course of time, standards, evergreens, classics, "the no sell by date songs" from some of the all time great singers. Add to this a warm personality and humour you are assured an entertaining time.

From a young age Steve wanted to be a singer and moved through pop and rock to his present status as a Country and Easy Listening Singer. Steve has been performing at different clubs and theatres for around 30 years and in the 1970's as a pop singer in the pop group "The Mighty Plod" he made appearances alongside top acts including: ELO, Mud, Thin Lizzy and Showwaddywaddy.

An album exists of these rock years called "When Yesterday Was Now" but this album is far removed from the relaxed style now associated with the name Steve Travis.
